Privacy Policy

The short version: used as a guest, FROGS keeps everything on your own device. If you sign in, we store only what you choose to save, on servers in Australia. We never track your physical location and we run no advertising. To improve FROGS we collect privacy-preserving, non-clinical usage analytics — never the values you enter and never anyone's name (see “How FROGS is used” below).

Using FROGS without an account

The calculator works fully without signing in. In guest mode your measurements and history are stored only in your browser on your own device – nothing is sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What we store when you sign in

When you sign in with Google and choose to save your work, we store:

• your basic Google account details (name and email address);
• the measurements you save, and any identifier or name you enter with them;
• if you request access to a different population dataset: your request, its reason, and any population data you propose;
• audit records of account and data decisions (who requested and who approved what), kept so data quality can be verified;
• if you choose to answer our one-off feedback question: your star rating and any comment you leave.

What we never collect

We do not track or store your physical location – a "region" in FROGS is a reference dataset you or your organisation chooses, not where you are. We use no advertising and no advertising cookies. Our usage analytics (below) never collect the clinical values you enter (birthweights, gestations, centiles), never collect any name or identifier you type, and are never linked to your account or email.

How FROGS is used (analytics)

To understand how FROGS is used and where to improve it, we use a first-party product-analytics tool (PostHog). It records which pages and controls are used, and counts calculations – including one non-clinical event when a calculation is plotted or saved, recording only how many measurements it covered and whether the site is the clinician or consumer version.

It is designed so that clinical data cannot be captured: the values you enter and the results shown – birthweights, gestations and centiles – along with any name or identifier, are masked and never sent. We do not record your screen, and no clinical data ever appears in a web address.

The analytics are identity-free: even when you are signed in, this data is never tied to your account, name or email. To count repeat use without identifying you, a random anonymous identifier is stored in your browser – it tells one anonymous visitor apart from another but is never connected to who you are. This applies to guests and signed-in users on both the clinician and consumer versions.

Where your data lives

Saved data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure located in Australia, with access restricted to the FROGS team. Because FROGS is used worldwide, the anonymous usage analytics described above are processed by our analytics provider on servers outside Australia (currently in the United States).

Your choices

You can use guest mode at any time, sign out at any time, and delete your saved measurements from the History page. To have your account data removed entirely, contact the FROGS team via Mercy Perinatal.
